I.    SCOPE:
When selecting employees for the interview, please randomly select employees (refer to Audit Program cover page for reference) from various locations of the factory, during various shifts. Although the sample should remain random, focus on employees who look young or new employees at less skilled positions in production bottleneck areas. (The sample size should be taken both from a random sample of employee personnel records and from persons on the floor). It is strongly recommended, that employee interviews be conducted by auditors of the same gender as the employee. (i.e., female auditor interviews the female employees and male auditor interviews the male employees).

II.    LOCATION OF EMPLOYEE INTERVIEWS:
Employee interviews should be conducted in a private room (either a conference room, canteen, etc.). Emphasize to the employees that the information provided is confidential and responses will not be disclosed to management. Conduct the interview without management present. Formal interviews should not be conducted on the production floor. The following questions should be used as a guide and, if necessary, the auditor may ask additional questions (See Section H).
